Davinci Resolve 16 Color Grading Workshop

This class is an excellent introduction to DaVinci Resolve and it is made for anyone who has a desire to get into color grading. It is ideal for first-time users and you do not need to be a Colorist to attend. Class size is normally capped at eight to ten students with a workstation and control surface for each student. The class mixes the operational side of Resolve with some practical real-world training on how professional colorist approaches grading and what techniques to use.

On the day one, we will cover all the basics and build a solid foundation to be ready for day two where we cover all steps necessary to complete the full round trip from the editor of your choice to Davinci and back.  You will learn how to develop a great look, match the rest of the sequence and deal with common issues like noise, out-of-focus shots or speed changes. After that, we will add finishing touches like grain, then export it back to a master file or an XML for the round trip back to the editor.

This class is taught by Ian McCausland, a long-standing member of the Abel Cine training team, who has been teaching Reducation and Resolve for Cinematographers. We are pleased to welcome Ian to Color Training team.
